About the Thermal Water

The luxurious Gellert bath offers relaxation and recuperation for hotel guests. The spa complex is also an excellent attraction for business travelers. The stunning thermal bath and spa, together with a wellness complex, offer a totally unique experience for our guests. The pool and the spa are based on the utilisation of the Gellert Hill's mineral hot springs, the water of which is radioactive with a calcium, magnesium, hydrocarbonate, alkalis, chloride, sulphate, and fluoride content.

The Gellert bath is under the management of the Budapest Spas Co. Ltd and is operated independently from the hotel. Spa opening hours and operational standards are therefore not under the control of the Hotel Management. No examination and treatments on Saturdays and Sundays, closed on public holidays.

Water components:

Indications: rheumatism (rheumatic and muscular-skeletal disorders), chronic degenerative joint and spine diseases, osteoarthritis, chronic and half-acute jointinflammations, rehabilitation after bone and joint operations, post-traumatic conditions, ankylosing spondylitis, spondylosis, spondylarthritis, lumbago, neuralgia.

Contraindications: hypertonia, tuberculosis, malignant tumor, hyperthyreosis, pregnancy, multiple sclerosis, feverish conditions, thrombophlelitis.

Spa Facilities

• Indoor swimming pool (27 x 10 m), outdoor swimming pool (38 x 14 m, closed in winter), Jacuzzi, wave bath, thermal bath, steam room
• In Summer outdoor pool parties can be organised on request (for 500-1500 persons)

• Medical section with diagnostics balneotherapy, electrotherapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, inhalation, medical massages, inhalation

The Bath is operated by the Budapest Spas Co. Ltd, all courses of cure can be offered to the Hotel guests at the given rates published yearly by the Management of the Spa.
